The children in the Village have to cope with learning gaps that were created over the years when they did not attend school on a regular basis, many because of neglect by their parents. In spite of this drawback, most of our children have good learning potential. We see learning as a vital tool for life. Success in learning adds a lot to the child’s self-image and gives him motivation to continue studying and make progress.
We are able to reduce learning gaps by providing tutoring sessions in all subjects, especially in preparation for the “Bagrut”/matriculation exams, but we can only do this with additional funding over and above what the government provides for each child.Costs: NIS 3,500 – yearly cost of private lessons for one child
NIS 6,000 – yearly cost of lessons for one teenager in preparation for matriculation exams
